Union University’s Undergraduate Research Program will sponsor this year’s annual university-wide scholarship symposium.
About 115 presentations will be given at the symposium from 12:30 to 4 p.m. April 30. There will be a reception before the presentations
start for participants, faculty and outside guests, from noon to 12:30 p.m. in the Carl Grant Events Center.
Undergraduate and graduate students who have completed an innovative and scholarly project will present their findings and presentations to disseminate scholarship produced by the Union’s community.
The program’s goal is to allow students to work with a faculty mentor on an extensive research project.
Last year, more than 250 students from 22 areas of study presented research findings along with more than 50 faculty members who participated with students for the symposium.
The Union University Research Program’s goal is for students to be actively engaged with faculty mentors to learn and pursue education in a creative, artistic, and scholarly way.
The program strives to make sure every student involved works with a faculty mentor on a scholarly project and presents his or her findings.
