Barefoots Joe will host a concert Feb. 21 in conjunction with Union University’s Scholars of Excellence Weekend.
The concert starts at 8:30 p.m. and features Flying Colours with Wolvski. Together, the bands are comprised of 11 Union students.
Rob Griffith, Jay Griffith, Taylor Hare, and Thomas Griffith, along with Austin Gray, Chris Hare, Joey Moore and Zach Foropolous make up the members of Flying Colours.
The members of Wolvski are Brady Heyen, Joe Dresser and Evan Estes.
The concert is one of the four that Barefoots will host this semester. As a part of Scholar’s Weekend, the concert is a unique way to show off a piece of Union’s culture to the potential students during their visit.
Barefoots is definitely a popular spot on campus and has obtained much success in hosting its past concerts.
“Hosting live shows and supporting artists has always been a part of our mission. We hope to provide students with more access to live music that is artistically innovative,” said Joy Moore, director of Barefoots Joe. “We also, in turn, want to show musicians hospitality through providing a welcoming environment, great technical support, great food and an attentive audience.”
