Chaz Wilson
Chaz Wilson, a sophomore from Cartersville, Georgia, is a catcher and pitcher on Union’s baseball team.
Wilson is an accounting major and has played baseball since he was 4 years old.
Off the field, Wilson enjoys reading George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones book series and eating chicken in any shape or form.
When asked who the most influential person in his life was, Wilson claimed that it was his mom.
“She challenges me to be my greatest and expects a lot out of me but at the same time she would do anything for me as she’s my biggest fan,” Wilson said.
Wilson is thankful that he gets to play baseball for Union.
“Baseball was a big reason that I came to Union,” Wilson said.
When asked why he plays baseball, he simply answered with “I just love the game, I could play baseball all day.”
His dad is another one of the main reasons that he plays baseball. Wilson played a lot of sports when he was little, but baseball just stuck.
According to Wilson, his teammates are just a group of characters.
When he is not playing, you could find Wilson with his Sigma Alpha Epsilon brothers, studying or sleeping.
Madison Tennyson
Madison Tennyson, a sophomore from Jackson, is a shortstop on Union’s softball team.
Tennyson is an elementary education major and has played softball for 16 years.
The transfer student from Dyersburg State Community College claims that she came to Union to be around her family. Like Wilson
, Tennyson also talked about her team.
“They just make you want to be better on and off the field,” said Tennyson.
When asked to describe her team in three words, Tennyson used words such as “loud, determined and respectable.” Tennyson also described her team as very Christ-centered and reliable.
In her free time, you will find her head in the books. Also, when Tennyson is not playing softball, she loves to be at the river with her family, running in the park with her dog, or eating some sushi.
“I just love being outside,” Tennyson said.
