Last week our first Music Monday was dedicated to the feeling of not wanting to let the summer fun end. I told myself I would come up with a more creative idea than reiterating the previous point. However, that is not the case.
This week I thought it would be nice to have a relaxed playlist on hand so that it would help put all of us in the studying mood. But like many students, I’m in denial about the semester getting started.
The semester may be in full swing, but let’s just take a deep breath and realize that this weekend is Labor Day Weekend! Now is the time to do something fun and spontaneous before the summer is over.
For this playlist, I compiled of some great songs that are perfect for anything from going to the county fair or just spending time with all of your friends at the upcoming intramural games.
Tennessee may have unpredictable weather and terrible mosquitoes, but it does have a beautiful summer, and you can always depend on Jackson to have incredible sunsets.
While creating this playlist I picked some of my personal favorites, but I also tried to keep in mind favorites from others at Union. I say this because I might be one of the few on campus that has never truly listened to Drew Holcomb or Ben Rector.
I hope this playlist finds you well and in good spirits, and for those of you that are hitting the books harder than others, I’ve thrown in a few slow study jams just for you.
Share your favorite music with us, and let us know about any new bands we should check out. Look for new Spotify playlists on Mondays.
