The Student Activities Council hosted the 19th annual Variety Show at the Carl Perkins Civic Center downtown Saturday. Chi Omega took home Best Overall Performance in the large group category, and Lambda Chi Alpha won Best Overall Performance in the small group category.
Alpha Tau Omega showcased “Are You Not Entertained?!” a story of an ancient Roman prince fighting to save his kidnapped wife, while Lambda Chi Alpha performed “Back to the Past,” a story of time travel and middle school dance-offs.
In the large group category Kappa Delta showcased “I’ll Be Watching You,” a crowd pleasing performance featuring ghosts and zombies. Chi Omega presented “WWII: Call to Arms,” a patriotic performance dating back to the Pearl Harbor attacks. Lastly, Zeta Tau Alpha performed “Legend of the Crown,” where mummies came alive and Cleopatra was fighting for her crown.
The Blank Slate Improv team hosted the event, disguised as a confused family on a road trip, eliciting constant laughter from the crowd. Buster the bulldog also made an appearance on stage as the crowd anticipated the award results.

Best Music: Lambda Chi Alpha
Best Costumes: Chi Omega
Best Choreography: Chi Omega
Best Overall Performance, Small Group: Lambda Chi Alpha
Best Overall Performance, Large Group: Chi Omega
