Union University’s all-women ultimate frisbee team, the Jillz, competed at the University of Alabama for their “T-Town Throwdown” tournament on Saturday and Sunday, March 3rd and 4th. The tournament was sanctioned and had nine women’s teams representing the USA Ultimate (USAU) South-East Conference: University of Alabama, Mississippi State, University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAH), University of Alabama-Huntsville (UAH), Emory College, Winona University, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, University of Mississippi and Union University.
The Union Jillz completed the tournament 1-8, ultimately considering it a success in their advancement in skill level as individual players and their overall growth as a cohesive working team.
